the Shadow cannot be killed.
you cannot fire Ivan.

you cannot make him disappear.

the only move the 12th house allows:
confession.
integration.
the shadow dissolves when named.

Saturn is the planet of:
structure. discipline. time. debt. consequence.

Capricorn is its home sign.
the goat that climbs the mountain
not because it is beautiful
but because that is what goats do.

Trevor Reznik is a Saturnian archetype —
the laborer. the machinist.
the man whose body is a tool.

but Saturn also rules karma.
what you did is what you owe.
time does not dissolve the debt —
it compounds it.

the factory floor is Saturn's domain:
industrial. repetitive. unforgiving.
the machine does not care

the entire film is a Neptune problem.

Neptune rules:
illusion. fog. the veil between worlds.
what you see that isn't there.
what you can't see that is.

is Ivan real? is Marie?
is the amusement park real?
is Nicholas?

Neptune says: wrong question.

the right question is:
what is the fog protecting you from?

the fog is not the enemy.
the fog is the kindness
of a mind that cannot yet hold
what it knows it did.

Neptune is the veil.
Saturn is what waits behind it.
the film is the space between.

when the fog lifts —
and it always does —
you are left with the road.
the rain. the boy.
the choice you made not to stop.

he tells them what he did.

the confession is not defeat.
it is the only move Saturn allows
when the debt is this old.

they put him in a cell.
Saturn's own house — walls, structure, confinement.
the most Saturnian ending possible.

and in that cell —
in the place of maximum accountability —

Trevor Reznik sleeps.

for the first time in one year,
he sleeps.

that is the whole film.
that is the whole chart.
you cannot rest
while the debt is open.
you cannot sleep
while the 12th house
is still holding what you buried.

confession → accountability → rest.
