◈ THE COSMIC OCTAVE — HOW ORBITAL PERIODS BECOME TONES
In 1978, Swiss researcher Hans Cousto published a method for converting any periodic cycle into an audible frequency through successive octave doubling. The principle is simple: every doubling of a frequency raises it by one octave. Applied enough times to the extremely slow orbital frequencies of planets, the result lands in the range of human hearing.

T = orbital period in seconds · n = number of octave doublings into audible range (20–20,000 Hz)
The Earth's year: 365.25 days = 31,557,600 seconds. Invert: 3.17 × 10⁻⁸ Hz. Double it 32 times: 136.10 Hz. This is C#3 +5 cents. Ancient Hindu tradition calls this pitch "Om." Tibetan singing bowls are tuned to it. Gregorian chant base registers cluster around it. The math and the tradition arrived at the same answer independently.
